The tour covers the history of the largest synagogue in Europe, leads through the cemetery and the memorial garden, as well as other precious places of worship and the hidden Jewish symbols of the neighbourhood. We explain the complicated history of both the district itself and the Jewish people in Hungary.
STREET ART & URBAN BUDAPEST
This walking tour is a fascinating insight into street and urban art of the multicultural Jewish Quarter. Since the early 2010’s various firewalls (or also called partition walls) have become canvas for artists in a project called Firewall Rehabilitation making huge, grey and empty walls more colourful. During this easy walk we introduce you the artistic face of the Jewish quarter and we spice it up with history as well while looking at these beautifully painted murals.
GASTRO WALK
With gastronomic delights off the tourist path
Traditional Hungarian dishes are primarily based on meat, seasonal vegetables, fruits, fresh bread, dairy products and cheese. This walking and tasting tour is a great opportunity for everyone to explore Budapest in a culinary way and off the tourist track. Tour includes tasting and samplings along the way. ART NOUVEAU BUDAPEST
Beauties of the Belle Epoque
Despite the WWII damages we can still see around 1000 Art Nouveau buildings in Budapest. We chose the ones we found the most enchanting. You will see peacocks, owls, squirrels, flowers, stained-glass triptych, mosaics in buildings designed by famous Hungarian architects. This “edutaining” walking tour is suitable for all levels and is great for anyone who wants to explore unknown and fascinating Budapest Art Nouveau sights. Tour includes a coffee of your choice.
