WHAT WE DO ON OUR BUDAPEST BY NIGHT TOUR
There are a number of reasons why we can recommend you to take this Budapest by Night tour, let’s see a couple of them. First of all, if you arrive to Budapest in the afternoon, most of the other free walking tours had already been departed, but you still would like to make the best of your evening and see some of the city during your first free couple of hours in the Hungarian capital city.
This Budapest by Night walking tour starts in the early evening and lasts for 2 hours, which is perfect, because you still have time afterwards to have dinner or go out to explore the nightlife of Budapest. Our local guides can recommend restaurants and pubs, and at the end of the tour, we even sit down for a nice drink to start your night properly. Also, our Budapest by Night tour is ideal for those who cannot take longer walks because of health or any other issues; the pace and the route are easy.
Itinerary
We start at the Elisabeth square in front of the Ferris Wheel.
We check out our main shopping and fair area the Vörösmarty Square.
We continue our walk through the downtown and the famous shopping street, the Váci street, where we show you many historical hidden gems and even some murals.
We have a chance to see the beautifully illuminated Buda Castle from the Danube Corso.
Our next stop is the Fővám square with the Great Market hall (which is already closed at the end of the tour, but you can return and check it out the next day!).
Finally we cross the Danube through the Liberty Bridge to reach the Gellért Bath‘s area.
This neighborhood is a vibrant artist and student district with great bars and cafés. Here we finish the tour in a bar with a wine spritz, so everybody can ask recommendations from the guide in the most comfortable way.
If you are planning to join us in the wintertime or summertime, but you cannot bear the cold or hot weather for long, our Budapest Night walking tour is great for you, since it is a bit shorter than for example, the Original Budapest tour, but it has a similar, general topic. You can learn about some of the Hungarian and Budapest’s history, culture, cuisine and nightlife during this useful, compact walk.
Another reason why it’s great to join our Budapest Night tour is that even if you’ve seen some of the same attractions during the day, this walk will give you a new perspective, so join us for a fascinating guided tour brought to you by our knowledgeable, local tour guides to discover Budapest’s historical downtown and urban legends!
